Just look at this adorable cake! Sweets by LaDawn makes the best cakes!
Miss Anna was excited about her cake, but a little skeptical that she was allowed to just dig in!
Overall I think Anna enjoyed her cake smash. I'm not sure how much cake was actually eaten, but there was plenty of frosting missing from that cake by the end!
Happy First Birthday, Anna!

We had to grab just a few shots of Kennedy with her parents and her boyfriend. The amount of pride and love in her parent's faces was the best thing ever!
Thankfully, the weather ended up clearing up and being beautiful the day of our session. So after spending some time indoors, we headed out to French Park to grab a few shots in the fall colors. The trees were beautiful and Kennedy looked stunning in the fall backdrop!
Kennedy is also on the school weightlifting team. And this girl is FIERCE! She wanted to incorporate some weights and show off those muscles too. Just look at those arms and shoulders!!
This year's seniors are seriously the best. They are going to rule the world one day!!
Jordan wanted to include his beloved drums in his senior pictures. He is quite a talented member of the Sycamore High School Drum Line! I love incorporating special extracurriculars into images!
This spot is one of my favorite in downtown Cincinnati!
This was actually our second attempt at a session. Our first one got rained out at the very last minute, but it worked out. This time we had such a beautiful day for pictures. Blue skies and fluffy clouds!
I even got somewhat of a giggle and a real smile from him, thanks to some unusual characters we crossed paths with on the bridge.
After spending some time at the river, we headed up a few blocks to visit the Black Lives Matter mural that was painted in front of City Hall. I am so glad we were able to get pictures of the beautiful artwork before it was ruined!
This kid is definitely going places! I am so thankful that I was able to document this special year for him!
Doesn't that suit look amazing on him?!? Such a fun outfit and it was perfect for the theme!
After our rooftop adventure, we headed down to the street level. Cincinnati has such a rich history and the architecture downtown is so cool. I did some research on Cincinnati history and found that the Dixie Terminal building was finished in 1921, so I knew using it would give us some great authenticity!
Then we headed down to Smale Park for a more country and casual setting to finish off our session.
And you can't leave out the beautiful Roebling Bridge! Cincinnati has the best bridges!
This year's seniors are the best. If these are the kids that are going to be running the world one day, we are all in good hands!
]]>
It was a busy day at the park. Lots of families having picnics and several other photographers taking pictures. I am so thankful that our local photographer community is so wonderful and we had no problems taking turns and sharing some of the most popular spots in the park!
Sharon Woods is such a great location for family pictures! So many great spots!
The kids and I had just been talking about how they like to climb trees and rocks when we came upon this tree. Luckily mom and dad were super cool and laid back and were up for letting the kids pose IN the tree!
Overall we had such a great session! All the kids were in great moods and were incredibly cooperative. Once we were done with our formal pictures, the kids had a chance to explore the creek a little which they seemed to enjoy. I hope this family had a great first experience without outdoor family pictures!!
]]>But thankfully times have changed, and seniors now get to have so much more fun with their senior photos!! And it is even doubly fun being the one to take the photos and help celebrate such a big milestone in the lives of these high schoolers. I'm pretty sure Miss Norah was a little skeptical when I suggested taking photos in a cemetery but she was a good sport and agreed and I'm so glad she did!
Spring Grove Cemetery is one of my favorite places in Cincinnati. It has the most beautiful architecture and so many spots that are perfect for some out of the box portraits. Norman Chapel is probably my favorite spot within the grounds to use as a backdrop. I think the arches and greenery outside the chapel are stunning. And Miss Norah looked absolutely amazing with it!
Next, we headed over to the rose garden. The landscaping at Spring Grove is beautiful year round. But in the fall it is especially breathtaking. Some of the leaves are already starting to change colors and the fall flowers were picture perfect for our session.
After the garden, we traveled up towards the lake and the Dexter Mausoleum which are probably the most photographed spots in Spring Grove. I just love the stone bridge over the lake and the way the sun filters through the trees. And the history of that area of the cemetery is really fascinating as well!
It was such a fun afternoon with Norah and her mom. Not only is Norah beautiful, but she is also brilliant with big dreams and aspirations for her future!! Best of luck, Norah and CONGRATULATIONS!!
Wyatt's mom opted to make her own cake, and just look how adorable it is! I have the most talented clients! Wyatt wasn't too fond of having messy fingers, but luckily I always keep wooden spoons in the studio for just this reason. Smooshing cake around and hitting it with a spoon is usually a pretty big hit with this age!
He got really into playing with his cake. Just look at those smiles!
And of course, a shot of the mess. Big sister was pretty excited there was cake left for her to enjoy too!
It was so fun catching up with Mr Wyatt and his family! Happy first birthday little guy!

]]>As a former teacher myself, I was super excited to put together this cake smash set-up that was inspired by Dr Seuss! Such a colorful and fun theme!!
After a few sit-and-smile photos, it was time for cake! And just look at this adorable cake from It Takes The Cake by Libby. She is one of my favorite bakers. Her cakes are always so adorable!!
Mr Ethan's favorite part was the truffula tree on top!
Although he may not have eaten much of his cake, Mr Ethan still enjoyed his session and had a ball painting the floor with his frosting.
.
Just look at that face! I love it!!
And I just couldn't resist grabbing a shot of a messy baby butt!

]]>Not only was she the most laid back and easy-going baby but she is GORGEOUS. I mean, just look at that full head of curly hair!!
And sweet as she was while asleep, she was even SWEETER awake. Chloe had the brightest eyes and a smile that will melt your heart!
It was so much fun putting together this super girly session for her. I'm a total sucker for tiny tutus and flowery headbands!
I'm pretty sure this was one of my favorite sessions to date. Although I'm also pretty sure I say that after just about every session. I seriously have the best job EVER!
You can schedule your own newborn session by contacting me here: https://www.drawinginlightphotography.com/contact.html
And just look at these little smiles he gave me! And those long blonde eyelashes! I melted!
I am still booking studio newborn sessions for 2020. I have lots of extra precautions in place to keep you and your new little baby safe. If you would like more information about booking your own newborn session, you can contact me here: https://www.drawinginlightphotography.com/contact.html
]]>We had a very hot and sunny day for our session, but these kids didn't seem to mind at all. They took breaks in between shots to run a few laps around the open areas and laugh and play and just be kids! We tried our best to stick in mostly shady spots to give us a little retreat from the sun. The entrance to this hiking trail is my favorite spot in the park. It is like a magical little tunnel!
One of my favorite things to have kids do in a session is to count to three and then JUMP. I love getting photos of kids in action!
After a little bit of running, the kids were ready for their close-ups. I love the way the leaves and this greenery give texture to their portraits!
Such a fun session with a fun family!
I am now booking for sessions for September, October, and November. Contact me here: https://www.drawinginlightphotography.com/contact.html
for more information about booking your very own family portrait session!
This year we decided to use Miller Ecological Park in Lebanon, OH as our backdrop. I knew there would be some really beautiful backdrops for these super adorable kids and their parents.
And the best part of this park is the wide open spaces and the unique play structures. No "normal" slides and monkey bars here! But plenty of room to run and lots of fun things to climb on!
And while the kids play, the adults can get pictures done all on their own!
The play structures at this park are even adult friendly. All the kids were super excited when both their parents hopped onto the spider web with them. I love capturing families in their natural state and all the emotions that go along with that. Genuine smiles and laughs make the best pictures!
Have you ever been to Miller Ecological Park? Tell me about your experience there in the comments!
]]>
And then he dozed off. His mom told me when she came in that he normally takes a nap around this time of the day, and she was spot on! It worked out perfectly!!
I was able to get lots of newborn photos, even though this guy wasn't really a tiny little squishy newborn anymore! He rocked his session!! I am so happy I was able to provide these sweet sleepy baby photos for his family.
In order to keep all my tiny clients safe, I have been limiting my exposure as much as possible in my personal life too. That has left lots of extra time to play around with photos! Mr Jackson was such a sweetie I wanted to create a couple special images for him too. I love creating these for clients!
I am very excited to be back to booking sessions. If you are interested in scheduling your own newborn portrait session, you can contact me through my website here: https://www.drawinginlightphotography.com/contact.html
]]>
And then after a little snack, James was ready for a nap. He was such a rockstar and I was still able to get a bunch of sweet sleeping squishy baby pictures. He may have already been 10 pounds, but he still looks so sweet and tiny!
I am so happy that this family was still able to get newborn portraits done. I take tons of extra precautions during sessions. You can see all the steps I am taking to keep my tiny clients safe and healthy here: https://www.drawinginlightphotography.com/blog/2020/4/covid-update

And then again at 4 months old:
And now just look at her!! She is the cutest little lady!
This time we decided to step outside of the studio and have a session at Pine Hill Lakes Park in Mason, Ohio. We got there first thing in the morning and had the park all to ourselves. And the morning light coming through the trees was perfect for pictures!
Miss Lilianna was taking it all in. The lights, the sounds, the ducks, and the occasional dog going for a walk. I could tell she is a very studious little thing - always trying to learn about everything around her! But we did manage to elicit a few smiles.
And by the end of the session, Miss L was ready to explore! Her mom and dad warned me she was a quick crawler and they weren't lying! She means business when she wants to get somewhere!
Next time I see her, she will be a full on toddler! Happy almost birthday, Miss L!
One of the reasons I love this park so much is the beautiful views of Downtown Cincinnati! The river was incredibly high that evening. Thankfully still under flood stage though!
And when there are puddles and the kids have been amazingly cooperative, they get rewarded with some puddle jumping time!!
Such a fun session!
]]>We decided on Rentschler Park for our session because of the swinging bridge and the beautiful creek. The girls were a little hesitant to warm up, but this bridge brought out the best smiles. Who doesn't love jumping on a bridge like this?!!
I simply love this spot in the park too. The way the light comes through the trees in the evening is just completely beautiful!
And finally the girls were rewarded with time in the creek to finish out our session. Rentschler Forest's creek is perfect for young kids to explore. There are lots of big rocks to sit on and little rocks to make splashes with!
I am cherishing each and every session even more than usual these days. I am taking on fewer sessions than usual to account for the extra precautions surrounding Covid19, but I would love to chat about setting up a socially distanced family session for YOUR family too! You can contact me through my website here: https://www.drawinginlightphotography.com/contact.html

My promise to you is that I will do everything possible to ensure your safety in my studio. The following practices are ones I have always followed and will continue to do:
I will also be introducing the following policies in my studio:
We are all in this together. I look forward to the days when these restrictions aren't necessary, but a lot of these things are here to stay for the foreseeable future. Please reach out to me with any questions or concerns. I am anxiously awaiting the day I can once again create beautiful images for you!
]]>
That being said. If I have a session scheduled with you in the coming weeks and you would like to cancel/reschedule I am totally open to that. I will refund any deposits you may have made, or hold that deposit for you to apply towards a future session. Also, if you are showing any symptoms of illness or know you have been exposed to anything please let me know so we can reschedule. Not only do I work with very vulnerable tiny humans, but I do also have medically frail family members living in my home.
Also, just a heads up that should our local school district choose to close to prevent the spread of illness, I will likely need to reschedule any mid-week sessions. Like many people in our community, I rely on the public school system for childcare while I work. I will do everything in my power to reschedule at a time that is most convenient for you and will handle these situations as they arise on a case by case basis.
We are all in this together. And I am committed to doing whatever it takes to keep my clients and my family safe and healthy. Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns!

Miss Gracie even gave me some of the most adorable smiles! She was such a happy little baby. I don't think I heard her fuss the entire time we were together!
Even when she was awake, she was a happy little thing. She let me wrap her up and get some portraits of those big beautiful eyes.
And just look how lucky this family is. All three of these kids were amazing to work with!

]]>Fast forward to this February, and Miss Cordia is still one well-loved baby. Just look at her and her siblings!!
Cordia was FULL of personality. She gave me the best faces and had everyone in the room laughing. She absolutely deserved her princess crown!
And how about this cake?!? Cordia's mom made a very special strawberry cake and it smelled AMAZING. The whole studio smelled like fresh strawberries. And I think it's safe to say it must have tasted good too. Cordia ate pretty much the entire thing!!
Happy First Birthday, Miss Cordia!!

]]>And not only did I get to work with Elise, but I got to photograph her with her new big brother. He was such a loving and proud brother! And together the four of them made such a beautiful family.
And just look at that perfect baby eye contact! I love when babies show me their bright eyes!
Apparently taking pictures is exhausting, because it wasn't long before Elise was sound asleep!
I love when clients bring special items from home to incorporate into portraits. Miss Elise had the honor of being photographed with her mom's wedding veil and a family heirloom fur shawl. One day maybe Elise will grow up and use these items in HER wedding!
I am currently booking newborns for the rest of 2020. The best time to find your newborn photographer is in your second trimester. Contact me HERE for more information on how to book a session for your little one!
]]>
Forest themes are always a lot of fun, but in the painting and in the song it references a sequoia tree so I wanted to incorporate a big tree trunk. I made this one in the set-up with a little creativity and a lot of spray foam insulation. It was so much fun to make!
And Connor's incredibly personality combined with some beautiful cookies and an adorable cake made my job so easy!

January 2020 has been the longest month in the history of months ever. But here are the photos from some of our adventures.
My favorite memory from January is without a doubt the weekend I spent in Florida visiting my grandma with my two best friends. I've always been jealous of people who took vacations with their friends, and this past year I found my people. These two girls are basically the sisters I never had and I am SO THANKSFUL they are in my life now.
What was your favorite memory of January? Tell me in the comments below!
]]>We started out trying to get a few more traditional portraits of Zeke. He was not impressed with any of my antics, but did give a great performance of the most adorable fake cry ever. His mom says he does it at home all the time!
Zeke decided eating was much more desirable than smiling. So on to the smash portion of our session. Except for this session we did actual Skyline instead of a cake! Zeke was definitely a 3 way kind of guy. He made a glorious mess and was very serious about all his eating.
Happy First Birthday, Zeke!
]]>Miss Alana first came to visit me when she was only 3 months old. But now she is a whole year old! And she is such a fun little thing. She was a little skeptical of me and my giant umbrella light at first, but she warmed up pretty quickly.
She even gave me a couple smiles. And when she smiles, the whole room lights up! One thing mom had requested specifically was pearls. And Alana LOVED playing with them. She was shaking up and moving them around and making noise with them. I think she may have even enjoyed the pearls more than her cake!
Finally it was time for cake! She was a pro cake smasher - full on face in the cake and everything! I'm not sure she actually ate any of the cake, but she *really* liked the icing and had quite the messy face by the time she was done.
Happy First Birthday, Miss Alana!!

]]>Next year I hope to meet even more of the tiniest clients, and I look forward to seeing all my 2019 clients again! And now I present you with one photo from every session in 2019. You can secure your spot on my 2020 calendar by contacting me HERE.
]]>We got off at one of our favorite stops - Washington Park! The fountains are so much fun in the summer, but the playground is perfect year round. The kids love the untraditional play features and I love that it is fully fenced in!
Eventually the kids got hungry and we stopped by the new Kroger on the Rhine's Eatery for lunch. I didn't take any pictures because I was too busy stuffing tacos from Djangos into my mouth. They were delicious.
From there we hopped back on the streetcar and headed down to Smale Park and the Banks.
And since from now till the end of the year kids ride the SkyStar for free, we decided to hop on there as well. My 8 year old decided it was NOT her jam, so we hung out on the ground to take pictures instead.
And by then the kids were tired and melting down and it was time to go. So back on the streetcar we went back to our van. Such a perfect day downtown!
Felix's mom is one of my very best friends and I first met Mr Felix when he was just a few hours old. I mean, just LOOK at those squish cheeks.
Watching this kid over the last year has *almost* made me want one of my own. He is the sweetest, easiest, happiest baby ever. And I have been looking forward to his one year session for MONTHS. i knew he would be an expert cake smasher - and I was 100% correct and he gave me some of the BEST expressions, even if the smiles were a bit rarer than usual. Even the happiest babies have days where they just don't feel like smiling.
He definitely liked his cake. He was trying to get at it from the minute he walked in the studio! The total time it took him to fill his belly with cake (okay, so maybe it was full of mostly icing) was only about ten minutes!
And what goes better with cake than milk? And nursing photos are so special, I'm always honored to grab a few shots when asked! And what's better than frosting covered toes?
Happy New Year! May 2020 be as sweet as Felix's cake!
I would love to create a special cake smash for your little one! You can book one of your own by contacting me HERE!
]]>
And since it is almost Christmas, we *had* to throw in a few Christmas set-ups. I love creating these digital art pieces for clients!
And who can resist those sleepy baby pictures? Mr Blake was a rockstar!
I'd love to chat about being YOUR baby's first photographer! You can contact me HERE for more information!
Flash forward a year, and Mr Theo is even more adorable. And this time filled with so much personality and spunk and totally rocked his cake smash session! His mom contacted me and told me they had a special fox stuffie that had a recording of his heartbeat and wanted to theme his first birthday session with that. So I put together a forest themed set-up, and she brought the most adorable suspenders and hat!
And then mom brought out the most adorable tree stump cake I've ever seen! I have the most talented clients! I think Theo agreed that is mom is quite the baker, and he had the best time smashing his cake!
And of course, when you are two years old and your brother is getting all the attention you try and hop in on the action too!
Cake smash sessions are such a fun way to celebrate baby's first birthday. I would love to chat with you about creating something special that is tailored specifically to your little one! You can contact me HERE for more information.

Since I happened to have my camera on me anyway, I decided to do a little storytelling session while we were at the park. No posing, no "sit and smile", just photographing my boy and his BFF playing together. And I am in LOVE with what I captured.
Childhood friends are such a huge part of life. I still remember my best friends when I was in kindergarten. Jessica Tepper and Emily Moody both lived on my block and we were inseparable. We rode bikes together and played Barbies together and made cheese toast in the microwave together. But I only have a couple random snapshots of us. We've lost touch over the 30 years since then, but I've never forgotten them! And I would have loved to have more photographs of us together just being kids.
Storytelling sessions don't have to be a family event. They can be friends playing at the park. A playdate in your house. Moms have coffee together. Moms having coffee together during a playdate at your house. The sky is the limit. Storytelling sessions aren't perfect smiles and always happy kids. But I promise they will be images you treasure forever.
These mini sessions have a neutral, unthemed set-up which means you will want to hang these images on your walls for years to come. And this is a great opportunity to get professional portraits of your little one in their Easter best or to put together a special portrait gift in time for Mother's Day.
White Chair Minis will be held March 24th and March 27th, 2019. They are $75 and include a 10 minute session in my Mason, Ohio studio and three digital images with a print release. I know what you're probably thinking - 10 minutes isn't nearly enough time! You'd be surprised with how many images I can take in a 10 minute session.
You will get to choose between three different backgrounds. Due to the nature of these sessions, these work best with babies 6 months and older. Babies should be sitting independently. I do require a $25 deposit to hold your spot on my calendar and the balance will be due the day of your session.
Interested in booking a session for your little one? Start by filling out this form: https://goo.gl/forms/CxNfRr7ZKt9Ftn942
I will then contact you to confirm your day and time and send you an invoice for your deposit!

Why does January always feel so long? It never makes sense to me. It's cold and grey and icky here in Ohio in January. We did get some beautiful snow, but mostly it's just blah. Right now we are in the fake spring portion of winter. It's been in the 50s and 60s. I saw the sun.
But today was rainy. And I've just been feeling pretty gloomy. So I felt the need to get out of the house. Wesley and I headed to the Countryside YMCA to play in the family gym - one of our favorite places! Soft floors, soft walls, and tons of big soft bricks. It's basically heaven for a four year old boy.
Afterwards we decided to drop by the Warren County Animal Shelter. Every once in a while we stop in there just to visit with the cats. I would take them all home with me if I could. There was one cat there, Annika, who I absolutely fell in love with. She was the most beautiful cat and had the tiniest stub of a tail. Her info sheet said she has been there since October. If we didn't already have two cats at home I would have totally brought her home with me.
But really, if you're looking for a new furry friend, I highly recommend the Warren County Animal Shelter. We got our cat there back in September. They really lover their animals there.
]]>We are in the middle of the big Polar Vortex right now here in Cincinnati. It's cold. Really cold. But our library classes didn't get cancelled so we bundled up and headed out of the house to the library.
The big kids picked out books and then headed to their STEM class about the human heart, while Wesley and I played in the library.
Kids are off of school another day tomorrow.
]]>Storytelling sessions are just that - they tell your story. They are sessions that are not posed. Not scripted. Just life as it happens. It takes a documentary approach to photography, and the images give a more realistic look into life than your traditional sit-and-smile type session.
This is the Haven Family's story. It's a glimpse into one hour of their lives on an ordinary January morning. We decided to meet at a time where they were working on their homeschool work for this session. They started with a family circle time and showing off their "goggles" and "Queen Dresses".
Then it was off to the homeschool area/dining room. The girls worked on math and literacy and all the kids had a special smashing sensory experience using toy hammers to crunch up all sorts of stale pantry goodies.
Then it was time for science! The kids made birdfeeders to feed all the winter birds. They theorized which type birds they would see on their pinecones and decided on a great place to hang them outside. Even the cat, Henry, got in on the learning action.
All in all, they had a very productive hour! By the time I was packing up to go the kids were getting hungry and they were all hoping the birds in their yard would be getting hungry soon as well!

This is Daisy. Elise's favorite horse in the barn.
Bowie was begging for some treats and attention. I think he was jealous.
Poor little brother gets dragged along too of course. Really, Wes doesn't mind spending an hour at the barn each week. We say hi to all the horses, pet all the barn cats, and then he gets uninterrupted tablet time.
Uno is our favorite barn cat. He's a sweetie!
I also got out my new macro extension tubes, but alas they were a lot harder to use than I expected. I need to spend some more time learning how to use them!
After I took these pictures, we ended up getting an additional 5-6 inches of snow and by Sunday at lunchtime we had a grand total of NINE inches of snow. That's more than we have had in a really really long time.
]]>
So for this first week of 2019, I brought Betty (my camera) up to the Boonshoft Museum in Dayton, OH. Today was my kids' last day of winter break and we wanted to go somewhere fun.
While we were there, the kids played animal doctor.
We visited some really cute otters and watched them swim through tunnels and slide down slides.
Played on the giant two story slide.
Did some experiments with magnets in their Do Lab.
And did some bird watching in the MeadWestvaco Treehouse (our favorite part).
There were several other exhibits and activities that I didn't grab pictures of, but overall a fun adventure for sure!

And I just love this navy background his mom picked out! His creamy skin was just a beautiful contrast to the dark fabric!
One of my favorite things to do during the editing process is using digital backdrops to add a little something special to my client's galleries. Often my clients request a certain theme or colors, but since this little guy's mom allowed me to choose, I decided to go with a new backdrop I just got and I love the results! It's a little more artistic than your traditional portrait and it really gives it something special I think!
]]>
It was SO much fun! I made a backdrop inspired by the Skyline logo and colors, and we had a three way and a coney for Mr Elijah to smash. And smash he did! A big thank you to the Skyline in Mason, OH for letting us also borrow a menu and a couple plates to make it extra authentic!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELIJAH!

]]>]]>
But within only 5-10 minutes, the rain subsided and we were left with gorgeous soft light from the clouds that were breaking apart and beautiful temperatures for our session! This little guy was so much fun and Spring Grove is one of my favorite places to shoot! There are just so many remarkably beautiful locations within the grounds. And the staff is always so helpful and kind. I don't think I could ever get board doing pictures there!
We even stopped by the little garden in the visitors center to visit the fountain and flowers! Seriously, if you ever have the chance to go visit Spring Grove and admire the location DO IT. You won't be disappointed!

We met at a beautiful studio in Troy, OH on a Saturday morning. The studio is home to Krystal Covington Photography. We had several newborn models and learned about lighting, posing, newborn safety, editing, and all things newborn photography related. I cannot stress enough how amazing it was. I felt like a sponge just trying to soak up every drop of knowledge Rebecca was imparting on us. I cannot wait to put a lot of this new information into practice in my own work.
All posing and styling was done by Rebecca Connolly, and final images were shot and edited by me.
If you're a photographer and debating on if the cost of an in-person workshop is worth it, IT IS. It was worth every single penny and more. And I *HIGHLY* recommend catching Rebecca on her next US Workshop Tour! You can find all her information at http://www.northsydneynewbornphotography.com.au/

Baby's first haircut. Bye-bye curls.

The best toy in this house is $10 worth of fabric, a couple rings, and a ruined doorframe.

My doctor has me on a bunch of vitamin supplements to help fill in some nutritional deficiencies in my bloodwork and hopefully boost my metabolism. It seems like a lot, but I think they're kind of beautiful when they are all organized into their little compartments for the week.
On to week six!
]]>22/365 We enjoyed the 60 degree weather with a trip to the zoo. Little did we know momma hippo was going to have a baby less than 48 hours later!
23/365 Just a bathroom selfie. Uncombed hair and all.

This week was intense. Busy, emotional, and intense. I didn't feel like picking up my camera every day this week and one day I skipped totally just due to utter frustration and exhaustion. But onward and upward to week four.
15/365
The view at a session location. The weather cooperated to be able to do outdoor pictures, and I was intrigued by the super green windy path through the field of brown.
16/365
MLK civil rights march in Downtown Cincinnati. What an absolutely amazing experience.
17/365
A ride on Carol Ann's Carousel
18/365
The weather has been warm enough to play outside. (And yes, I realize there are still fall leaves in my yard. No we never got around to raking them.)
19/365
My little daredevil
20/365
I didn't take a picture. There were plenty of "important" things that happened. Like the inauguration of the 45th President. But nothing I wanted to actually remember.
21/365
My cat Esther. She is the grumpiest cat on the planet and as soon as the kids are in bed she sits in my doorway and meows for me to come to bed with her.
